Overseas 2017



In 2017, the Port of Spain Hash House Harriers will be returning to Guyana. It will be 18 years since Darin Marshall, Hash Master in 1999 last led an overseas expedition to this country. Guyana boasts a unique combination of fascinating and breath-taking natural beauty, pristine Amazonian rainforests, immense waterfalls, amazing wildlife, blended with a vibrant indigenous culture, rich heritage and some of the most hospitable and friendly people in the world. Here is your chance to return or experience for the first time all that Guyana has to offer.

When: Wednesday 14th to Monday 19th June 2017
Where: King’s Plaza Hotel, 45 Main Street, Georgetown, Guyana

Thursday 15th June 5:15pm Pub Crawl
Friday 16th June 9:00am Hash Run #957 – Highway Meeting by BHC
Saturday 17th June 9:00am Hash Run #958 – Berbice Meeting by BHC
Sunday 18th June 7:00am Essequibo River Tour and Hash Run #959 Meeting by BHC
Monday 19th June Possible early city run
Depart Hotel for Airport

Package Options are inclusive of the following items:
 Hotel Accommodation
 Drinks at the Hotel (Alcoholic and Non-Alcoholic)
 Breakfast at the Hotel
 Transfers to and from Airport to Hotel and Hotel to and from Runs
 Lunch and Drinks at the Runs. Lunches come standard meat, fish and veggie.

Any other special considerations will need to be communicated to either the HM or the committee.


Airfare – TT$2,097.00 – This airfare price is locked in for arrival on the 15th June 2017 to depart 19th June 2017 (first flight out on both days). Itinerary as follows:

15th June 2017 BW601 Leaves T’dad at 6:10am Arrives Guyana at 7:10am,
19th June 2017 BW527 Leaves Guyana at 8:05am Arrives T’dad at 9:15am.

Important Note Regarding Accommodation:

– Single rooms ONLY have ONE bed and double rooms ONLY have TWO beds. Quadruple accommodation will ONLY be done at your request. The same goes for two people sharing a single room

– Airport Tax in Guyana is $4000GYD or $20US. This is not included in the package costs. This is an individual cost that everyone must cater for

Down payment is $500TT. Down payments to be given to Hash Cash (Lorin Patton) or any other committee member.

Yello Fever Immunization

Persons travelling from the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago are advised to carry their International Immunization Card with proof of the Yellow Fever vaccination when travelling to Guyana.

One dose of the Yellow Fever Vaccine will be valid for travel regardless of when the vaccine was given.

In the event that a person has never been immunized for Yellow Fever, it is advised to get the vaccine at least 10 days prior to travelling.

We are advised to visit any of the following Medical Health Facilities within TWO WEEKS prior to departure from Trinidad and Tobago with the following:

Proof of travel
Proof of Yellow Fever immunization
International Immunization Cards will be processed within two business days.

While travelers are seldom asked to produce their international immunization card, it would be a shame to miss a great overseas Hash simply because a zealous or thorough immigration officer decides to ask this time.
